We were hesitant if a board and train program would be worth the investment in our almost three-year old rescue. We did A LOT of research and Chinook K9 came out on top. They were among the most affordable, but also were willing to provide references and regular text updates with photos (that we didn't have to pay extra for!) Kudos to Dylan who took time away from his busy life to FaceTime with us so the whole family, including our ten-year old daughter, could ask questions. As new dog owners, we had tried different trainers and training methods and were unsure how Dylan's approach could be any more effective. Chinook K9 transformed our dog! Everyone comments on how far Timber has come since spending three weeks at Chinook K-9. He went from about 20% trained to 85% trained. He won't ever be flawless, especially because he came to us with big challenges, but we are able to take him to public places where there are other dogs and to walk him without a nose piece. With one of Dylan's quick commands ("nope!") he stops any poor behavior, quickly. He no longer lunges, growls, goes from 0-60 in two seconds, and jumps up on guests. The biggest difference is in his confidence and his ability to listen. I can't recommend the entire team at Chinook K9 enough--for all their home support, reassurance, clear communication, professionalism, but most importantly love and care for our dog.

I cannot recommend Chinook Canine enough. Dylan is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about helping both dogs and their owners succeed. As a dog trainer myself, I've had the opportunity to train and work alongside him, and I've seen firsthand the level of care, skill, and thought he puts into his training. He is excellent at reading dogs, adapting to the individual dog in front of him, and creating clear, effective training plans that actually get results. I adopted a Border Collie and tought him every single command, he would be so amazing and responsive at home, but the moment we go outside I couldn't manage him at all, he would bark at everyone and everything every noise will scare him. I Tried prong collars E collars positive reinforcement nothing worked, he just wouldn't respond to anything, and I've tried for a year basically and it was frustrating. I found this guys and sent him for 4 weeks, which obviously not enough for a really reactive dog, BUT this 4 weeks made him a lot better and now I can continue working with my dog, he can hear me when I'm speaking with him at loud environments, and i can continue building a bond with my dog Blake! Thank you Chinook K9 and especially Blakes trainer Katie! You are the best!

I could not be more pleased. My pup is a 9 month old lab that is full of energy. I was struggling with leash walking, I was being pulled around on the leash. I am only 2 sessions in and it has been a game changer. Zack is amazing with Humphrey, knowledgeable, kind and makes sure the training is fun for the pup. I would 100% recommend. Dylan and the team at Chinook K9 really know what they are doing! We recently left our 2 dogs (a 5 year old German Shepherd and a 5 month old Belgian Malinois) with them for a 3 week board and train while we traveled. Firstly, it was amazing to have full peace of mind that our dogs were being taken care of and that we had nothing to worry about. Secondly, it was so great to know that while we were traveling, they were progressing with their training as opposed to regressing if we had just left them with a friend or family member. We are excited to continue to work with Dylan and his team moving forward!

Amazing trainers who really know what they are doing. Our dog did a three week board and train here and we are so happy with the results. Our dog is always so excited to go back for daycare or boarding.

Baker learned some puppy behaviour training for two weeks. He came back eager to continue his learning and improved confidence. Dylan and the crew were very informative throughout the entire process and gave us additional resources to continue his training!
